Suitable time for visiting the Visa office

I have experience in the Kolkata visa office, I had 3 visas from the Kolkata visa office. In the Kolkata visa office, I found a huge Line and for getting a visa. I went to this visa every time at 3 am.

But I found that very little line and public gathering found other visa offices. So, in my opinion, if possible you can apply other visa offices also. Very less gathering found in Bangladesh Assistant High Commission, Guwahati.

In festival time (Muharram, Eid, and Durga Puja) huge visa load found in the visa office, thus if possible please avoid this time or you will face huge traffic in the visa office.

Nearby every visa office, you will find huge agents. For Indians, This Bangladesh Visa is total free of cost, but if you make a visa with the help of any agents they can charge you from 1000 to 12000 ($10 to $150) depending on visa type and duration.

Required Documents carrying in Visa office-

  1. Online Visa Application Form (Color Printout)  (Link-
  2. Valid Passport with One Photocopy
  3. Old Passport required if any. (While filling in online, we suggest that you have the following information on hand)
  4. Photocopy of the last Visa and last Arrival page, 2 Photocopy
  5. Photographs (Size 45x35mm and recent one); 02 copies (same photo uploaded online)
  6. ID Proof (Aadhaar or Voter id Photocopy & please carry original copy)

Reasons for Visa Rejecting

Normally after depositing the application form and other documents in the visa office counter, 80 to 90% chance is to get a visa. Although I have some experiences where visa rejected after submitting the application form in the visa counter. Visa rejecting reasons are as follows:-

  • Passport should have a minimum of 6 months’ validity.
  • Wrong passport number or visa date or any other mistakes found in the application form.
  • Address mismatch in passport with ID proof.

Before submitting the form please check all details that you provided in the form. I found that the maximum form rejected due to mistakes in the application form.

In some cases, I found the form rejected due to a mismatched address in the ID card with a passport. Please provide only those ID cards where your passport address is the same.

I hope dear readers you will get an idea of this whole process if any questions, suggestions or feedback please feel free to comments.
